We’re three rounds into the seven-round, 2014 ENZED Touring Car Masters championship and it’s two/one to Liqui-Moly brand ambassador, John Bowe, over old rival, Jim Richards. JB took out the opening round at Clipsal, with Richards bouncing back to take out round two at Winton. However Bowe’s recent round win at Hidden Valley, Darwin, has given him a four-point lead in the 2014 TCM championship.
“We’ve had some great races over the years,” Bowe said of Richards after the Darwin round. “There was a bit of cat and mouse going on, and my car was better in some spots and his better in others and we left the rest of the field behind a bit because they was squabbling.”
With a host of new entries for 2014, combined with a more competitive field than ever, the TCM races have been a huge crowd favourite wherever they’ve run. Be sure to catch all the TCM action at Thunder Down Under, where they’re supporting the V8 Supercars at Sydney Motorsport Park, August 22-24.
