After several years giving it his all, Mick Brasher has finally succeeded in taking out the Summernats 27, Liqui-Moly Burnout Masters championship. Congratulations from the whole Liqui-Moly team Mick, well done!
Mick and his mighty Corolla, ULEGAL, have qualified for Burnout Masters for the last three years. His distinctive driving style and how he throws the Corolla around the pad has made him one of the most spectacular burnout competitors in the country. His feisty weapon relies on a blown, 377-cube, small-block Chev that Mick revs to a screaming 8500! Rather than his typical 30 to 40 vicious donuts, he tamed things down a bit for the 2014 Masters. He was more subdued and stuck to the criteria, with the judges awarding his efforts with the top gong. It was a very popular win.
Few would be aware that Mick is the ‘Corolla King’. He owns 12 of the Japanese machines and is likely to acquire a few more in the future.
Mick is also running his own series of events; Brasher Nats, Darwin (April 5th), along with Brasher Nats, Sydney, June long weekend. They’re both sure to be great events, so get along and show your support. And make sure you tell Mick congratulations on taking out the Liqui-Moly Burnout Masters!
