OIL ADDITIVES

The properties of engine oil can be enhanced by using oil additives. It is common to use purpose-designed treatments as problem solvers or friction modifiers that work with the existing chemical agents or additive package within the oil. The DNA of the oil isn’t compromised so it will continue to meet the manufactures spec. Using such additives are recommended as an engine starts to wear or for high load operation such as regular full throttle/high speed driving, or long distance/heavy towing.

When changing the oil, flushing the engine prior to adding new oil is really important. Regardless of any self-cleaning properties of existing oil, putting fresh oil into a dirty engine makes no sense and reduces the long term performance and efficiency of the engine.
