Mick Brasher is definitely on a roll. After taking out the 2014 Liqui-Moly Burnout Masters at Summernats 27, he’s since put on two mighty successful Brasher Nats events. The first on April 5 at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway (the second year the venue has hosted the smoky event) and the second at Sydney Dragway on Sunday June 8.
The main attraction at both events was most definitely the huge burnout competition. The Darwin competition took place in Hidden Valley’s specially-constructed Coliseum. The massive Smashing Tyres showdown attracted competitors from New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia, with Mark Schwires in BLOWN taking the northern win. Down in Sydney, the big winner was newcomer, Adrian Cuthbertson, in his blown small-block, Chev-powered Sigma.
At the Sydney edition, there were three, 2015 Liqui-Moly Burnout Masters qualifying spots up for grabs. Scoring those coveted Summernats 28 invites were; Adrian Cuthbertson (SKIDMA), Brett Battersby (BLWNLUX) and Dominic Luci (LITMUP).
